Corporate social responsibility is part of our core business. The Backpack supports a community project (GCU Academy) and also sends volunteers to work at the project. We also have a community tour which visits the project.

The Backpack has environmental and procurement policies in place. Most of our cleaning products are bio-degradable; Food waste is used for our worm farm; Recycling is done by all staff members; Waterwise garden; Local suppliers and crafts are supported.
