Located on the east bank of the Macal River miles from town, and eons away from civilization and noise pollution. The only sounds you will hear are the surrounding wildlife: birds or crickets, with an occasional cow mooing.
Here you will experience some of the best Bird Watching available in Belize, Toucans nest in trees near the camp ground, along with Parrots and a variety of other native and migratory birds.
Other wild life includes, Jaguars, Tapir, Gibnot, Monkeys and deer, something for everyone to enjoy young and old...
Our cabins are high above the river (which you cross on a canoe). Located on the edge of a huge and mysterious ancient hidden Mayan site. You will have the pleasure of exploring this on your own, or with a guided tour given by Larry or David (when we are available).
Tent camping is also available on the plaza level of the ruins.
Lots of good food, much of it organically grown near the cabins, prepared in the traditional Mayan method over an open wood fire, and cooked to perfection, more than ample portions for the hungriest of travelers.
A wonderful sense of timelessness overcomes you at night as you sit on a Maya mound outside your cabin watching the sunset and the stars.
