Our lodge is run by a Swiss-Chilean family, and located amid beautiful and peaceful countryside some 1 1/2 miles from the picturesque town of Puerto Octay.
We offer double and dormitory rooms, evening meals such as fresh salmon dishes, beef or lamb stews, vegetarian food and salads, as well as home-made "Puerto Octay" cheese fondue.
We have a spacious garden, parking facilities, Internet access, a laundry service, and a clean kitchen for guests (self-catering or otherwise).
We provide good, accurate and up-to-date information and maps of the area and the usual treks undertaken. We also offer luggage storage facilities.
We rent out bicycles, a sailing boat (laser 2), climbing & camping equipment (ice-picks, tent, etc.), a car and camper-van.
There is also a well-maintained library of English, German, French and Spanish books. The "Zapato Amarillo" (Yellow Shoe) is the perfect place to either "chill out" after an exhausting expedition to Patagonia, or to “tank up” before a difficult trail to the mountains, or further south.
