Description

Marnixkade Canalview Apartments are located in the historic Jordaan district on a quiet canal in the heart of Amsterdam. Most Amsterdam landmarks are within walking distance and there are many shops and restaurants just around the corner.The apartments form part of a typical 19th century canal house.

The apartments have been designed and furnished with respect for the environment. Eco-friendly features include: Solar water heating - Photo Voltaic panels provide a large part of the apartment's electricity - Low energy lighting - double glazing, and insulating blinds. Eco-Ver cleaning products are used and the apartment is stocked predominately with organic/fair trade food.

Marokko Apartment (2nd floor)

The apartment offers beautiful canal views from the living room and dining room. It is spacious and has been renovated to include all modern conveniences and has a fully equipped kitchen. It is fully furnished and includes all linens. Goose down comforters, and an entertainment system are just a few of the amenities. Historical accents include stained glass en suite doors.

Mondrian Apartment (3rd Floor)

This Eco-friendly* third floor apartment offers fabulous 180 degree views of the canal and park from the living room/dining room. The amenities are similar to the Marokko apartment.

An additional guest room can be rented in combination with the Marokko and Mondriaan apartments. The room has a double bed, tv, and CD player/tape deck. The private en-suite bathroom has a toilet, bathtub and separate shower. There are excellent canal views from the bedroom and even from the bathtub! Please enquire below if this extra accommodation is required.

We had the most wonderful experience staying at the Marnixkade Canalview Apartments. This was our first trip to Europe, and we did not regret spending an entire 2 weeks getting to know Amsterdam.Upon arrival we had a fridge full of snacks and beers and wines to help us get settled in. It was the best location for setting out everyday on foot to explore the city and all it has to offer.

BREAKFAST

When you arrive at your apartment, you will find that the cabinets and refrigerator have been stocked with a selection of Dutch and international breakfast foods, breads, cereals, milk, coffee, tea, and juices. Should you have any special dietary requests, please be sure to let us know before you arrive and we will try to accommodate your request. You will also find a selection of complementary soft drinks, wine, and beer as well as some typical Dutch snacks

HEALTH CLUB

Complementary access to 25 metre indoor swimming pool (located 100 metres from apartment).

MOBILE PHONE
A local GSM Cell phone is available for you to use during your stay. Incoming calls are free. The phone can be used for local or international calls, both incoming and outgoing. Pre-paid minutes can be purchased throughout the city from most newsstands, and supermarkets.

BICYCLE RENTAL
Bicycle rentals are available nearby and this can be a great way to see Amsterdam and its surrounding. However, a word of caution - Amsterdam traffic, pedestrians, trams, and tram tracks make Amsterdam a dangerous city for the inexperienced cyclist.

PLEASE NOTE

The apartments are 2 and 3 storeys up from street level and the there is no elevator/lift. In typical Dutch style, the stairs are very steep.

RATES PER APARTMENT

Low Season (1 Oct – 31 Mar) €150 per night; €840 per week;

High Season (1 Apr – 30 Sept) €175 per night; €980 per week;

Christmas/New Year (20 Dec – 5 Jan) €175 p.n.; €980 p.wk.

- Minimum stay four nights (3 nights during low season)
- Rates are based on 2 people
- Additional € 25 per extra person per night (over 2 years
of age)
- All rates includes amenities and a stocked refrigerator
with snacks and complete breakfast fixings
- 20% discount on additional nights beyond weekly rate

THE ADDITIONAL EN SUITE BEDROOM is available for EURO 75 per night. (Only
available in combination with the Mondriaan or Marokko)

PAYMENT CONDITIONS
We ask for a 25% down-payment with your reservation through
PayPal. PayPal allows you to pay using any major credit card
and in some markets with a bank transfer or personal check.
We cover all PayPal fees, so this transaction is free of charge
for you.
The outstanding balance can then be settled in cash upon
arrival. Unfortunately, we can not accept travellers checks or
credit cards at this time.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
We are a small business, and cancellations have a
considerable financial impact on us. In our cancellation policy
we try to find a balance between our guests need for flexibility
and our need for certainty that guests are actually coming. If
we are able to resell the room we will provide a complete
refund, minus 10% of the deposit to cover the transaction
fees.
HOUSE RULES
We strive to create a comfortable environment for all of our
guests based on mutual respect and consideration. We have
gone to considerable effort to furnish and equip the
apartments to make them as comfortable as possible, but we
are ultimately dependent on the good care of our guests to
maintain them. Rather than a long list of ‘do’s and don’ts’ we
simply ask you to be considerate of the other guests in the
building and treat the apartment and furnishings with care.

Three other important points to be aware of before you book:
- No pets are allowed. - The entire building is smoke-free. - If you are planning to bring children, please consult with us in advance.
