We are trying to have as little impact on the environment as possible – the apartment is not perfect yet but it is getting there. We are using only eco-friendly cleaning supplies and recycled materials for all the paper and glass that we use in the apartment. We have signed a special contract with the electric company to ensure that we use only electricity generated by wind and water – it costs a little more but we think it is worth it! We also try to use as much recyclable materials as possible. Nowadays everyone has to be thinking about the impact on our planet, and it’s the little things like this that start to make a difference.
The building has all the amenities you could wish for and much more. For security you have a 24-hour doorman and video surveillance throughout the public areas of the building. There are also 4 elevators in the building, making your trip to your apartment quick and efficient. There is also a laundry room on each floor, so you do not even need to go downstairs (like in most Manhattan luxury buildings) to wash your clothes. And if you like to work out while on vacation or a business trip – you can enjoy the free gym on the third floor! The greatest part of all is the roof deck where you can come as you please, sit, relax and enjoy the city views!
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with not only all the utensils, pots, pans and dishes that you might need, but also a large full stove with an oven, full fridge, microwave and a dishwasher! So you can easily buy food and cook yourself or can order from the endless list of New York City’s takeout restaurants.
Apartment has two large bedrooms. Each bedroom features a queen size bed with comfortable bedding, as well as a closet in one bedroom and a chest of drawers in the other. The apartment has a lot of closet space, so there is no need to worry about where to put your suitcases!
The living room has a comfortable couch which can also fold out and become a bed for 2 more people (folds out to be a double bed). You also have a coffee table and HDTV in the living room, where you can rest and relax after a busy day in New York.
This apartment, as well as all other City Lights apartments, comes with free high-speed internet, free cable TV and free unlimited local and international calls (international calls to landlines only), so you can tell your relatives back home how your day was in New York by calling them whenever you wish!
