El Jaguar is located in a Cloud Forest, a very special and fragile tropical habitat.
El Jaguar was declared an Important Bird Area worldwide by BirdLife International in 2006. We have an inventory list of 281 species of birds. El Jaguar sponsor various nature research projects, especially bird research.
We offer great birdwatching tours in the Reserve; nature trails; hiking; and coffee tours.
We also offer tours to the beautiful town of San Rafael, Las Cureñas pottery artisans, birdwatching at Lake Apanas, horse riding and fishing.
The farm has been in family hands for more than 50 years, and the forest has been protected by the different generations that have worked in it.

EL JAGUAR CABINS:
- 2 Apartments, each with 1 double bedroom, bathroom with hot water in the shower, terrace, solar energy for illumination.
- 4 apartments, each with 2 double bed rooms, living room, bathroom with hot water in the shower, terrace, solar energy.
- Cabin capacity: 21 people.
BIOLOGICAL STATION:
- 4 rooms with bunk beds for students and researchers, external bathrooms, shower with hot water and solar energy.
- Biological Station capacity: 22 people.
