This is a green high class lodge, with gourmet food served per guests desires. The lodge is owned by John and Kathleen Erb and is a home from home with 15 comfortable well appointed rooms.
The main building of the lodge is in a traditional Spanish colonial style, it has a comfortable sitting room with a large internal and external dining area. We also have a new reference area which is stocked with various bird related literature and internet access.
There is a selection of rooms within the main building, most are located on the upper floor and are set next to our world famous recently extended birding balcony, where over 250 species have been recordedalong. Room number 1 has its own private balcony with stunning volcano views. All rooms are comfortable and most have private bathrooms. 
- We have resident local guides.
- We grow some of our vegetables and fruits and meat. Our beef are grass fed bulls. Our pigs and chickens are non-injected.We have about 5 miles of trails in a transitional premontane rain forest.
- Our water is from springs.
- Over the next year we will be running Photographic Workshops with professional photographer Glenn Bartley, Banding Workshops with Adrian George and Ernesto Carmen, Orchid Workshops with Ernesto Carmen, Butterfly and Moth Identification Workshops with professional lepidopterist Dr Wayne Whaley and Bird Identification Workshops with professional ornithologist Andrew Walker.
- Just below the lodge in the small village of Tuis, set right on the banks of the Rio Tuis is the Christian Immersion Spanish Academy, they run a regular Spanish programme catering to all levels of the language. If you would like to spend a few hours brushing up on your Spanish or if you would like to take a bit longer studying the language all your needs can be met here. Lessons are held in small outdoor classrooms, including a tree-house.
