The Yellow House is just a few minutes walk from many of major points of interest, including Paseo 21 de Mayo, Calle Gran Britania, the National Naval and Maritime Museum, Plaza Sotomayor, Cerro Concepcion, the Bicentienial Walkway, the Port Markets, Inglesia Matriz and the Artilleria Ascensor.
Set in a quiet, primarily pedestrian passage and offering spectacular views over most of Valparaiso the Yellow House provides guests with an ideal base to explore Valparaiso and its surrounds. It is also just minutes from dozens of restaurants and cafes and Valparaiso’s main shopping precinct yet provides visitors with an opportunity to experience life in a genuine residential neighbourhood.
The Yellow House was built in the late 1800´s and now includes ensuite bathrooms, free WiFi and internet, book exchange, fully equipped guest kitchen and other facilities for our guests. We provide good quality maps and plenty of local tips to help you get the most from your stay in this fascinating UNESCO World Heritage City.
The Yellow House has 7 comfortable guest rooms. Most rooms as well as the two glass galleries, living and dining areas offer wonderful views of the city, hills, port and harbour. On a very clear day one can actually right across Chile to Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina. This is the tallest mountain in all the America´s and second tallest in the World.
The Yellow House also has a book exchange, free Internet and good free WiFi, cable TV and a small selection of board games.
Rooms on the top floor have electric coffee and tea making facilities while those on the second floor have very ready access to the fully equipped guest kitchen which includes tea and coffee making facilities. All guest rooms have heating while hair dryers and electricity connection adaptors are available on request.
