During the past 10 years the cider orchards have been restored by planting old varieties of Cornish apple trees. Nicky and Andrew run the farm with help from a variety of talented local people - dry-stone wallers, fencers, gardeners - and with a sensitivity to the land. The old names for the old fields speak to them in old tongues: Three Trees, Minefield, Orchard and Hare's Leg. Over 70 Cornish apple trees have been planted since 1998 from which they crush 1000 litres of juice every year, organically, though not officially so. The old Cornish varieties include Lucombes Pine, Sunset, Mylor Pike, American Mother, Cat's Head and Pig’s Snout, and you will find them protected and revered here. So, too, are the bats, bees, birds and wildflowers. |

Our accommodation includes two beautifully converted cottages - Polly’s Bower, an idyllic romantic hideaway for 2 people and Pippin Cottage for 6 people - both have stunning views over unspoilt countryside and stand privately in their own grounds.
Polly’s Bower (Sleeps 2)
This is a romantic retreat that has been converted from a 300-year-old apple-crushing barn into a beautiful, contemporary open-plan hideaway for two. All the old peg beams and trusses have been restored sympathetically, retaining much of its original charm. On a sunny morning, you can enjoy breakfast on the patio outside, taking in the view of the orchard, or on a cold day curl up with a book on the settee in front of the log-burner (after a lovely hot soak in the big freestanding bath upstairs!). There is an additional shower, beautifully fitted kitchen and inglenook dining area (where the apple press once stood) and a welcome hamper of local goodies greets you on arrival.
Pippin Cottage (Sleeps 6)
This delightful secluded cottage was once Lantallack’s old coach house. It has three double bedrooms, a bathroom, an additional shower room and open-beamed sitting room with log fire. It has its own private driveway and a large enclosed garden. French windows lead on to the patio where you can sit and watch the sun go down across the valley. A welcome hamper of local goodies greets you on arrival.
Both cottages have TV/video, CD/ipod-player, dishwasher, log fire, washing line and access to onsite laundry with washing machine and dryer.

We also offer 5-star Gold Award accommodation in the house, in two double bedrooms (one en suite, the other with private bathroom). Both are inviting with deliciously comfortable beds, pretty cushions/throws and extra treats. The atmosphere is relaxed and informally friendly to ensure guests feel at home and enjoy their stay.
Step back in time - life goes slowly here. Hens in the orchard, delicious breakfasts in the walled garden with apple juice from our own Cornish apple trees, sausages and bacon from our own pigs - all produced here using organic methods. Other produce is sourced locally/organically wherever possible. A straw-yellow drawing room with blazing log fire, two grand pianos and books galore, an inspiration for musicians artists or anyone wanting to combine fun with peace and tranquillity.

Artists love Lantallack. It undulating hills and wooded valleys provide beauty, peace and tranquillity drawing visitor back time and again to draw and paint its ever-changing landscape. Nicky is an artist who will share her studio and give you lessons on a one-to-one basis in sculpture, printmaking and painting whenever possible throughout the year if required.
And to top it all, a fabulous outdoor solar-heated swimming pool open from May to September what more could you want?
