Description
Antik Zeytin creates a different lifestyle for you. You will swim with snow white ducks, make your own bread and produce olive oil, sail like famous pirates of the Mediterranean, and much more…
It has been known for centuries the important role that olive oil plays in our lives and historically it has been known as the 'elixir of life'. Antik Zeytin (the ancient olive) produces olive oil using the original extraction and production methods. Guests have the pleasure of making their own olive oil with granite stones and ancient olive presses.
Accommodation
Antik Zeytin has 10 simple Anatolian-inspired stone cottages. Delightfully rustic and spacious these stone cottages have their own veranda, air-conditioning, Satellite TV and minibar. Each has a king-size bed and a charming bathroom with walk-in shower. Celebrites love the privacy of Antik Zeytin and return year after year for this wonderful experience.
Activities Guests can bake their own bread in the Anatolian wood-fired oven in the mornings and pick local herbs from the neighbouring hills of Karadag. Where else can you dip your own home-made bread into your own olive oil? The next adventure is to enjoy a trip on Antik Zeytins hand-made traditional sailing boat allowing you to experience sailing as it used to be. There are plans for a pottery and glass blowing workshop, using ancient methods of course! This season new activities added to the list, like gastronomy, bird watching, horse riding, traditional sail-boat racing, Blue voyaging, Mother-Mariam & Ephesus tours.
Bodrumhas a history of over 5000 years and is home to the King Maussollos's tomb which is one of the Seven Wonders of the world. The biggest underwater Archaeological Museum is also worth a visit.
Dining Fresh mediterranean food using ecological farming methods is served at Antik Zeytin with the emphasis on the home made olive oil. Lunch is a relaxed affair and can be enjoyed anywhere you like.
