Bold Point, a small 10 acre, 4.5. hectare, working mixed farm on Quadra Island, is very organic, naturally raising sheep, chickens, turkeys and year-round vegetables. New families come to Bold Point for a quiet get away, bicycling, walking and canoeing the lakes or coastlines. Individuals and families have returned year after year for more Experiential Experiences, exploring farm life, blended with seashore or forest discoveries.
Families help feed the lambs or collect fresh eggs for breakfast. Others go into the forest and meadows to collect mushrooms, sprouts, fir tips for culinary delights. Stories of our First Nation cultures and legends are shared while walking beneath a billion stars, amazed at the clarity of our light pollution-free constellations.
Families, couples, individuals have come from Hong Kong, China, Japan, Austria, South Africa, Germany, Holland, U.K., USA and Canada.
Work on the farm doesn't stop in the shoulder seasons and neither does our hospitality. Come in the spring and fall when the beaches are deserted and the restaurants too. June is a great month for a visit. The Quadra Quilt and Gardens Tour together with the Quadra Arts Tour are exciting ways to enjoy the ambience of the island . The fall months grace Quadra Island with some of the best weather. It's never cold on Quadra even in the winter so why not come out in spring and watch Quadra come alive. Be on the water or the mountains when no one else is there.
