Description

Hotel Mocking Bird Hill, nestled in 7 acres of lush tropical gardens, seduces you with tranquil luxury and hospitality. Overlooking the town of Port Antonio, with panoramic views of the Caribbean coast and the Blue Mountains, this hilltop retreat offers quiet, peaceful surroundings for those seeking a very special, off the beaten track, holiday experience.

At this enchanting, intimate hideaway the eco-friendly philosophy complements the beautiful environment with sustainable luxury. The natural, tropical gardens, with a multitude of birds and flowers, are a paradise for nature lovers. Guests can also enjoy the range of lovely beaches and coves close by. The romantic Frenchman’s Cove beach is just 5 minutes away.

This charming, elegant hotel, with many personal touches and original art abounding everywhere, offers warm hospitality and a gracious atmosphere. The pool terrace, cocktail-bar and garden with day beds and hammocks all add to the gentle way of life and help you to relax and unwind.

Just 15 minutes drive from the town of Port Antonio, Hotel Mocking Bird Hill’s location is ideal for a romantic, relaxing vacation away from the main tourist centres. The region offers activities for every enthusiast: guided hiking trips, bird watching, visits to traditional Jamaican villages, visiting secluded waterfalls and lagoons, bamboo rafting down the Rio Grande river, biking trips down the Blue Mountains, scuba diving, snorkelling and sport fishing delight the active traveller.

Our Restaurant Mille Fleurs offers terrace dining, with views overlooking the harbour of Port Antonio and the sweep of tropically forested hills, and the sea in the background. Imaginative menus, including vegetarian selections, use only fresh, local produce and offer creative Caribbean cuisine. Excellent food and friendly services that are compatible with sustainability can be enjoyed, and almost everything is home made. The bar provides a spectacular setting for evening drinks.

Owners Shireen Aga and Barbara Walker are passionate about sustaining the hotel’s environment, aiming for success with the smallest footprint possible. Hotel Mocking Bird Hill is working towards becoming Jamaica’s first ‘climate neutral’ eco-boutique hotel, not only enabling its international guests to offset their flight carbon emissions, but also responsibly offsetting its own.

Hotel Mocking Bird Hill is committed to a holistic approach to the running of a truly sustainable, luxury, boutique hotel, and to providing guests with comfort, fine food and a memorable holiday.
