New, more fuel-efficient generators awaiting installation. · Heat from air conditioning units reclaimed to heat water. Air conditioning units are turned off when guests are not in the rooms. Air conditioning in the clubhouse restaurant is scheduled. · All dinghies/speedboats have switched to four-stroke Etek engines that burn fuel more efficiently than the former two-stroke ones. · Desalination plant · A rainwater catchment system is in place to capture, filter, and store rainwater. · Every room has a "Laundry Note Card" which informs guests about the limited water resources in El Nido. · The sewage treatment plant utilizes a combination of two processes in which the organic solids are consumed by the action of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, converting it into water, gas, and organic ash. The product water is used in flushing toilets, watering the plants, and supplying fire hydrants. · Grey water from the Housekeeping laundry area passes through a reed bed to remove phosphates from soap before it is passed on to the sewage treatment plant.

Description
At the end of the pier, guests at Miniloc Island Resort can snorkelin crystal clear wateralongside 3-foot long groupers and hundreds of sergeant majors, damsel fish, fusiliers, and other multi-colored tropical fishes.
Miniloc Island Resort has: 7 Water Cottages and 5 Seaview Rooms built on stilts, 12 Garden Cottages and 4 Family Cottages surrounded by tropical plants, 3 Cliff Cottages nestled high in the hillside and 12 Beachside Rooms. All of the 43 rooms are made of local and natural materials and are equipped with an air-conditioning unit, mini bar, hair dryer, private toilet, shower facilities, and private verandahs that offer views of the cove and nearby islands.
Facilities at Miniloc Island Resort include a restaurant located at the clubhouse, a boutique, video room, game area, Pavilion Bar, and a conference room that can accommodate up to 40 persons theater-style and 30 persons classroom-style.
Miniloc Island Resort has complete diving and snorkeling facilities, as well as, kayaks, aqua bikes, windsurf, and hobie cat.
The different islands and activity sites in El Nido are easily accessible from Miniloc Island Resort. The Big and Small Lagoons are a short kayak ride away from the resort.
