Air conditioning in the clubhouse restaurant is scheduled. · All dinghies/speedboats have switched to four-stroke Etek engines that burn fuel more efficiently than the former two-stroke ones. · Desalination plant · A rainwater catchment system is in place to capture, filter, and store rainwater. · Every room has a "Laundry Note Card" which informs guests about the limited water resources in El Nido. · The sewage treatment plant utilizes a combination of two processes in which the organic solids are consumed by the action of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, converting it into water, gas, and organic ash.
