Lalla Mira is the name of the oldest hammam (the Moroccan version of the Turkish bath) in town. It has been completely restored, and today it is the first hammam heated by thermosolar power.
Our little hotel was built above the hammam in 2002. It has 13 rooms, all with underfloor heating, TV, telephone and bathroom.
The restaurant, also open to the public, is on the ground floor. We use only fresh, natural products in our kitchen, most of them coming from the region. We also operate our own small organic farm where we grow as much of our vegies as possible. Each day, you have a changing menu, one vegetarian and one with fish. We serve bread, jam, yaourt and curd cheese, all homemade, for breakfast. You can also take cooking lessons in our kitchen or order meat or poultry dishes in advance.
The old hammam is still a public bath, as in former times. We open for women from 9:30a.m. to 6:30p.m. and for men from 7.00p.m. until 10:30p.m. Guests may use the hammam free of charge or (with reservation) may enjoy the whole Moroccan beauty programme at very reasonable cost, We also offer a real Moroccan 'wellness' tradition.
