A beautiful Victorian family home with views of the River Dart and the surrounding countryside. Within easy reach of Dartmouth with its cafés, restaurants, shops and galleries.
South Devon is an area of exceptional beauty and contrast, with river estuaries, rolling hills and thatched cottages surrounding the lovely old towns of Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Modbury and Ivybridge. The area enjoys one of the mildest climates in the whole of Britain.
We are surrounded by fab places to visit - National Trust properties, local gardens, river and coastal boat trips, beautiful beaches, excellent walks on the coast path, up the river or further afield to Dartmoor. You can enjoy a trip on the steam train, a boat up to Totnes or round the coast to Brixham, a picnic on the Picnic Boat based here in Kingswear or a walk out to the Castle for afternoon tea with an amazing view over the mouth of the river.
Nearby Dartmouth has an almost endless series of festivals: there is the Comedy Festival, the Fishing Festival, the Food Festival, the Music Festival, the Shakespeare Week, the Royal Regatta, the Candlelit Dartmouth weekend at Christmas and regular Open Gallery weeks. Not to mention great restaurants, shops and galleries.
We offer 2 comfortable bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom and one with its own fabulous private bathroom. Both rooms have comfy beds, crisp cotton bedding, soft towels, television/dvd, radio/cd player and coffee/tea-making facilities. They also have spectacular views of the River Dart and the surrounding countryside.
Plus - new for 2008 - our twin room in the attic, again with fabulous panoramic views over the harbour and farmland. If you are a family or group of friends you can book this newly decorated room and the bedroom with the private bathroom to make a suite to sleep up to 5.
And in the morning enjoy our great breakfasts of local food - bacon, sausages, fruit, veggies, apple juice, dairy - and our own eggs, muesli and bread.

At our purpose built Manna from Devon Cookery School we run classes, demonstrations and tastings offering individuals and small groups the chance to improve their cooking skills and knowledge. Specialities include fish, bread and Mediterranean food, using the very finest local produce.
At our School we understand that food is a lot more than just fuel. Food feeds our imagination, reminds us of our history, reflects our family, cements our friendships, underpins (or undermines) our health, nourishes our spirit and defines our culture.
Food deserves time, respect and attention - and we provide these in lavish amounts during our classes.
“I enjoyed every single moment. I learnt so much and thanks to Holly's wonderful expertise and teaching, I feel so much more confident in buying, preparing and, of course, cooking all types of fish. The way you run the days is just perfect ....” Kate Dable
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
