Wambrook Farm is situated in an unspoilt and peaceful village in the beautiful countryside of the Blackdown Hills, 2 miles from Chard on the Devon / Somerset border. The farmhouse, stables and buildings, all listed, were built mid 1800. There is a unique granary which is the focal point in the yard and looks more like a chapel. It also has a counting house inside where the farm workers were paid through a hatch.
We are a mixed organic farm with corn, sheep and heifers; we also have a company growing sedum matting for green roofs on the farm, which is an exciting new project.
We have two rooms, one double/twin, one triple both en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities and T.V. A log fire warms the spacious guest's sitting room with tv. We have a lovely garden to sit in or play badminton. We serve generous farmhouse breakfasts or continental options. There is an excellent pub in the village which is a lovely walk of one mile in the summer and many other restaurants and pubs not far away.
