Balamku is a new concept of ecological hotel, located on Costa Maya in Yucatan peninsula, just south of a little fishing village, in a natural, unspoiled environment. All of our rooms overlook the Caribbean and are designed for comfort and luxury while respecting the environment. Here you can enjoy the tranquillity of a small hotel away from the crowds. Balamku’s individual ‘palapas’ and two-story buildings (with separate rooms upstairs and at ground level) are all on the beach and feature private terraces overlooking the ocean. The rooms are all similar in design and amenities, with fine quality linens and towels, bathrooms with showers, biodegradable soap and shampoo, bottled drinking water, 24 hour solar - wind electricity, ceiling fans, beautifully tiled floors and are tastefully decorated with Mexican art. Daily maid service and beach towels included. Our breakfasts present a choice of fresh fruits, yoghurt, juices, homemade granola and bread, a wide range of egg dishes (omelettes, Mexican specialties, French toast, your choice) with bacon, ham and pancakes. Organic Chiapas coffee and speciality teas are another treat. Our light lunch menu of sandwiches or quesadillos can be enjoyed in the dining room, on the beach or taken with you on a day trip. Beer, speciality drinks and wine are available in the afternoon along with great music.
