Tirimbina Rainforest Center is located within the rainforest and river environments of a Costa Rican National Wildlife Refuge.
Highlighting biodiversity, ecological systems, conservation and education, TRC offers eco-education programs for grade school through university students, as well as facilities for school groups, volunteers and researchers.
The rich rainforest environment of TRC also provides a prime setting for exciting ecotourism activities. Come hike the lush rainforest trails, discover wildlife, walk over swinging suspension bridges, or discover the secrets of cacao on the popular Chocolate Tour.
The diverse tours offered allow visitors to experience the amazing beauty of the natural rainforest and learn about specific biological groups — birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, insects, plants, — and the ecological interactions that occur between these groups.
